The West Torrens Concert Band is a community band based in the Western suburbs of Adelaide. We are involved in many community events across Adelaide, regularly rehearsing at the Findon Community Centre on Tuesday nights at 7.30pm.
We offer wind, brass and percussion musicians a place to rehearse, play and socialise. The band plays a wide variety of music, including classical, pop/rock, movie medleys, and Australian classics. It is a mix of old and new, so there is bound to be something you like! For a challenge, we compete in the SABA State Band Championships at the C-grade level, and join other bands for competitions and festivals across the state, including Hahndorf Bands Festival, Strathalbyn Bands Festival and Mitcham Bands Festival. We also regularly perform for community events, including ANZAC Day, Australia Day, and Carols by Candlelight. |
